We're back...Whew!!!!

We have been back from Round Top Antiques Week at LaBahia for almost a week now. Everything has been unloaded, cleaned, wiped down, repaired (if needed) Eeks! and new projects started. We had a fabulous time, as usual, but are glad to be back in our own bed. I love camping, but camper mattresses, well, lets just say, are not tempurpedic !!! This is how we roll.....None of this is possible without the muscle you see in the picture...not sure why he works so hard to make this happen but I am so happy he does!!!

And this....is where we start...Troy and our son Corey drove up a day early and put down the floor in the cow pasture. The ground is quite uneven and this sure helps furniture to sit unwonky....you know what I mean with that word!!!

And here we are at the end of day one....

And here are just a few pics of the booth as the week went on....

Coming soon....just some fun happenings during the week....

Finishing up the week..

Even though the days are long we still manage to have a little fun in the evening.
Whether it is just sitting around with the neighbor vendors eating pizza or going to the Junk Gypsy Prom, we always have a great time!
The sky as we were going to eat at Hillcrest Inn.

Me and Troy headed out to the Junk Gypsy Prom

A close up of our bed spring chandelier....

 and basket lamp...

A beautiful bed went to a wonderful lady in San Antonio....so enjoyed visiting with her and her daughters....

This was the last day of the show, not much left. While we were packing up the table and chairs were sold to a couple of sisters that were just so much fun. They were so excited to be able to take the legs off this table to fit it into their very small SUV. They were away for the weekend and were having soooo much fun shopping. For one of the sisters, this was her first weekend away from her kids in 10 years....oh my, I wanted to hug her for that...she was completely enjoying herself.

Here is the ugly side of Round Top Antiques Week....I washed clothes ALL day long on Sunday!

It's good to be home but I love our time at Antiques Week!!!

Special Visitors to LaBahia

I am so blessed and fortunate to have people in my life that love and support my crazy ideas and the love of my crafting, junking and transforming.
My parents, inlaws, and sweet friend Traci came to cheer me on and just give me all kinds of "you can do this for 10 days girl" kind of encouragement.
I love them for that!!!

Our cymbal light for the musician in your family....

Tons of people come through with their precious pets and we just love on them...
This is Duchess and she was just as prissy as her name :))))

My birthday was on March 26, that was the day we drove up and constructed the floor and hung the lights....it was a little uneventful for a birthday and a 50th one at that.
Annette that has Annette's Vintage Blanket Bingo and is in the booth right next to me made sure that it did not go unnoticed...crazy girl!!!! Oh, and by the way, we share the March 26 birthday!!! Love her!!!

I have been a Dental Hygienist for 29 years. I have worked for some amazing dentists. Dr Shelli Peters is one that will always rank at the top. She moved to another city and is practicing dentistry there or I would still be working for her. She drove four hours to see me....well she was shopping for two days but we had a wonderful visit and it was fabulous to see her!!!

This is Sophie...
Sophie wore vintage pearls....
Sophie is not prissy...
I was told she is a mean ole barnyard dog but she wears her pearls when she is out in public....
and...
Sophie coughed something awful out on my rug...
Her owner was horrified and quickly cleaned it up...
ewwww...
but I still loved Sophie!!!

And here she is showing off for me...hehehe

Set up day, seems like 3 days instead of 1....

We get one day to move in and get the booth customer ready....we started early, 7am and left the booth at 11pm that night....thank goodness for a small booth!!!

After Troy and I moved in all the furniture the job of making my little space look appealing was all mine.
I have to give tons of credit though...
I could not do any of this, and this is what I love, without his help and support.
He helps with all those things that are too high and too heavy for the fluffing part....

The blue doll house was so precious but just needed some work to make it beautiful...a grandma bought it for her granddaughters and was thrilled to have it....I love things like that!!!

The buffet in the bottom corner of this photo was bought by an extremely excited gal. I had to laugh when she told me she wanted it. She said her husband was so happy that she finally made a decision and she would stop texting him pictures!!!!

A young couple came and found me to ask about this arched candelabra....I talked with them a little bit then asked if they had a business or something that they were going to use the candelabra in...
they said no, they were getting married in a few months and were doing all the wedding preparations by themselves and this would be perfect for them to stand in front of when they said their vows!!!!!
Awesome!!!!
